The Central Government has taken an important decision by changing the rules of gas cylinder booking. Earlier consumers could book a new cylinder 21 days after the delivery of a cylinder.

But now this interval has been increased to 25 days. The government says that the purpose of this change is to prevent hoarding of gas cylinders and to keep the supply system balanced. However, gas is used more in many homes. Therefore, the question is also arising that what will happen if the cylinder gets exhausted before 25 days. Now second cylinder will be available after 25 days

By changing the rules for booking LPG cylinders, the government has increased the minimum interval from 21 days to 25 days. This means that any consumer will have to wait at least 25 days after the previous delivery to book a new cylinder. The purpose of this decision is to stop hoarding of gas cylinders and keep the supply balanced.

Amidst news of tension between Iran and Israel, consumers are booking cylinders more quickly than necessary. Due to which there may be pressure on the supply chain. With the new rule, an attempt has been made to ensure that gas cylinders reach all consumers equally.

What to do if the gas runs out before 25 days?

Even though the government has changed the rules. But this question is also coming in the minds of people that if the LPG cylinder in a house gets exhausted before 25 days. In such cases, consumers can directly contact their distributor or gas agency and explain the situation. Many times the agency provides booking facility on the basis of special permission. Or in case of emergency, you can get another cylinder by paying some extra charges.

Can also take two connections

Apart from this, the houses where gas consumption is high. Getting a second connection or double cylinder facility can also be an option for them. In a double cylinder system, when one cylinder gets exhausted, the other one can be used immediately and during this time there is enough time to book a new cylinder.
