Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak fiercely targeted the Samajwadi Party during his visit to Baghpat. He said that Samajwadi Party does completely caste based politics and gets votes by intimidating Muslims. The Deputy CM said in sharp words that if the Muslim community leaves the SP, then this party will not be worth even a penny. He described SP as a party whose political level is limited only to the post of Prime Minister.

The Deputy CM was addressing party workers in a meeting organized at the BJP district office of Baghpat. He said that if Samajwadi Party asks for votes from the public in the name of development and work, it will not get support from anywhere. Hooliganism, mafia and anarchy were promoted in the state during the SP rule. He alleged that at that time the general public was forced to live under the shadow of fear.

Brajesh Pathak said that during the SP government, if there was any vacant plot in Baghpat or Baraut, the SP would say that the vacant plot is ours. He alleged that during the time of SP, goons, scoundrels and mafia used to roam freely and make the life of common people difficult. It was common to carry 10 guns in each vehicle. Deputy CM said that today there is rule of law in the state under the BJP government. Weapons are not seen openly anywhere in the BJP government. If a person carries a gun illegally, the public automatically drives him away by calling him a goon and his license is also cancelled.

Deputy CM mentioned Muzaffarnagar riots

Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak accused SP of instigating more than a thousand riots in the state and mentioned the Muzaffarnagar riots. After this he also reviewed the development works and law and order in the district.
