However, if this work is done to disturb public peace and to handle religious sentiments or to spread hatred in different communities, then a case can be registered for deliberately hurting religious sentiments under Section 198 of the Indian Justice Code, 2023.

A case can be registered under Section 198 of the Indian Code 2023 for deliberately hurting religious sentiments. If a criminal is considered in such a situation and the charge is proved. So he has to pay a jail of up to 3 years or fine. Along with this, both punishment can also be given. Apart from this, a case can be registered under Section 195 of BNS to disturb public peace. In this too, there is a provision of jail and fine or punishment from 3 years to 5 years.
