AIMIM national spokesperson in Mumbai, Waris Pathan has given a sharp reaction regarding the match between India and Pakistan in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. He clearly said that playing cricket matches with Pakistan is an insult to the martyrs and it should be stopped immediately.
Referring to the Pulwama attack, 26/11 Mumbai attack, Pahalgam and the recent Red Fort blast, Pathan said in his statement that the names of Pakistan-based terrorist organizations have come up in all these incidents. He said that when the country has suffered the pain of terrorism, playing a cricket match with Pakistan is beyond comprehension.
‘Jaish’s name in Pulwama and Red Fort blasts’
Waris Pathan said, “Jaish-e-Mohammed’s name is coming in the Pulwama terrorist attack and the Red Fort blast. These are all Pakistani terrorist organizations. We did Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev but even after this India is playing a match with Pakistan. How will we answer those sisters whose demand for Sindoor has been destroyed by Pakistan. This is a very shameful thing.”
He further said, “It is a matter of great regret and surprise that today it has been 7 years since the Pulwama attack, in which the name of Jaish-e-Mohammed had come up. Whose name is coming up in the new report that has just come about the Red Fort blast, in which 15 people lost their lives? Jaish-e-Mohammed. These are Pakistan-based terrorist organizations and we have always said that Pakistan promotes terrorist activities, carries out terrorist activities. We saw Pulwama, saw 26/11, saw Pahalgam and now we have seen the Red Fort as well.”
Directly taking the names of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Jai Shah and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), he said, “I would like to say that if there is even a little nationalism or patriotism left in Amit Shah, Jai Shah and BCCI, then India should not play matches with Pakistan.”
‘What answer will you give to your sisters?’
Waris Pathan said in an emotional tone, “What answer will we give to those sisters whose vermilion was destroyed in Pahalgam? The terrorists of Pakistan shot the tourists there in the name of religion in front of their wives and children. What answer will we give when we open the TV and watch it? Will we not remember the vermilion of our sisters? And why for selected rupees? Waris Pathan spits on such rupees, where my country’s It is a question of dignity and respect.”
He said that the country is seeing who is a true nationalist. He said, “Now they are playing the match. According to the recent report from inside the Red Fort, I want to say clearly, the country is watching who is a big nationalist and who is a big patriot. The country is watching. Waris Pathan is protesting that India should not play matches with Pakistan.”
He further said, “We ended business relations with them, banned their social media influencers, their actors, film stars, everyone. Broke every relationship with Pakistan. Despite that, India is playing matches with Pakistan. This is very shameful and I will tell BCCI that this should be stopped, the match should not be held.”
At the end of his statement, he said, “Look, this is what feels bad. What is the status of Pakistan? It is a small country and it is saying that we will not play the match. We wanted India to stand up and say to Pakistan, we do not want to play the match with you. We do not want to have any relationship with you. This should have been the spirit, this enthusiasm.”
