If there is no money, then you have to do PhD from abroad, do not worry, Modi government will give up to 20 lakh rupees for reading

There is a big important news for the economically weaker students of Scheduled Castes and Tribes class who dreams of higher study and especially wishing to do PhD from abroad. The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment of the Government of India will provide financial assistance of up to Rs 20 lakh to such promising students. Its aim is to give a new flight to the dreams stopped due to financial constraints.

Who can take advantage?

The candidate has completed post graduation with at least 60% marks. The maximum age limit is 35 years. The annual income of the family should be less than Rs 8 lakh. The applicant should be from the Scheduled Castes or Tribes. If you live up to these conditions, then the path of studying abroad can open for you.

What will be found in this scheme?

Under this scheme, the government provides this financial assistance to 125 students every year. This amount is fixed on the basis of your chosen course and level of the institute.

How will you get benefit?
After applying, your selection will depend on your educational record, ranking of the institute and selection of courses. If you are found eligible, the ministry will directly give you this financial assistance.

The deadline is also necessary
You will get a maximum of 4 years to complete PhD abroad. That is, with the help of the government, you have to end your course in the stipulated time.

Suppose, a student of Delhi is from the scheduled caste class, he has scored 65% marks in post graduation, age 30 years and the annual income of the family is 6 lakh rupees. If he gets a PhD offer in a big university like Oxford or Harvard, then he can seek financial assistance of up to Rs 20 lakh under this scheme. This will also include his tuition fees, visa, air tickets and living expenses.
