Keeping in mind the convenience of passengers, Indian Railways has launched a mobile app, which is making ticket booking easier and cheaper than ever. The name of this app is RailOne App. The special thing is that now the benefit of discount and cashback is also being given directly on booking general (unreserved) tickets through this app. The aim of Railways is to provide relief to passengers from long lines at ticket counters, promote digital payments and provide all railway services on a single platform. In this direction, RailOne app has been designed as a unified digital platform.
What is RailOne App?
RailOne app was launched on 1 July. This app brings many different services of Railways in one place. Through this you can book unreserved (general) tickets. You can see the real-time location of the train. You can order food. You can contact customer support, that is, now there will be no need to download different apps for railway related work.
How much discount will be given and for how long?
Railways has started a special discount scheme for a limited time for those booking tickets through RailOne app. Up to 3 percent discount on payment through digital payment (UPI, Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking), direct 6 percent discount on payment through Railway’s R-Wallet. This offer will be valid from 14 January 2026 to 14 July 2026. Keep in mind, this discount will be available only on unreserved tickets booked through RailOne app. If you use BHIM UPI while booking tickets, you will also get cashback up to Rs 20 from Railways.
Easy way to book tickets through RailOne app
1. Download RailOne app in your mobile.
2. Open the app and sign in or create a new account.
3. Verify mobile number through OTP.
4. Fill in basic information like name and contact.
5. Now select the option of unreserved ticket booking.
6. Enter the date of journey, source station and destination station.
7. Choose digital mode or R-wallet for payment.
8. Check fare before confirming.
9. Complete the booking and save the ticket. The ticket will be generated in the app as soon as the payment is made. It can be shown on your phone for ticket checking during travel.
