Motor Vehicle Rules: Motor vehicle rules have been made for driving on the roads, which are necessary for every driver to follow. Ignoring these not only results in heavy fines. In fact, in many cases there is a provision for punishment. The purpose of these rules is to keep the roads safe and people to drive responsibly. Now a big change has been made for this.

By making changes in the Motor Vehicles Rules, the government has increased the strictness on those who habitually break traffic rules. Under the new rule, if a driver is repeatedly negligent, now he will not be released just by issuing a challan. Action will be taken directly against his driving license. This step has been taken to curb road accidents and to create both fear and responsibility among people towards traffic rules.

3 month ban if you break 5 rules

According to the government’s new amendment in Motor Vehicle Rules, if a person breaks traffic rules five or more times within a year. So his driving license can be suspended for three months. This means that repeated mistakes like overspeeding, jumping red light, driving without helmet or seat belt will directly affect the license. Although the action will not be taken immediately, first a notice will be sent to the concerned driver.

He will get a chance to present his defense and show with evidence whether the allegations leveled against him are wrong or whether he broke the rules due to some compulsion. If the officers agree with the driver. So the license will not be suspended. But if the response is weak then there may be a complete ban on driving for three months.

Rules applicable from January 1

In this new provision, only traffic violations committed within the last one year will be counted. Cases older than one year will not be included in this count. This means that on the basis of recent behavior it will be decided whether the driver is a habitual rule breaker or not. The government has implemented this rule from January 1.

Officials say that this will create fear among careless drivers and people will pay attention to their driving habits instead of taking the challan lightly. The government hopes that this strictness will reduce road accidents. The traffic system will be better. It is important to know these rules before leaving the house.
