But in the latest survey of LinkedIn, about five lakh people told how they feel about their career. The results were shocking, today’s youth are more depressed than people of all other ages. The reason for this is that the entry-level jobs have become much less than before. From 2023 till now, advertisements for such jobs have decreased by 35 percent in America alone.

Anish Raman, Chief Economic Opportunity Officer of LinkedIn, has talked about this in depth. He told that today the youth are facing a perfect storm i.e. a confluence of many difficulties. Economic uncertainty, increasing impact of AI and changing industries, but he also said that if there is any time that is best to start a career, then it is this time. In such a situation, let us tell you today which skills will help you if you do not get a job after passing out from college.

The skills that will be most needed in the future

1. Critical Thinking – Not just remembering information, but understanding how to use it.

2. Communication – To convey your ideas to people in a clear and effective manner.

3. Adaptability – Quickly adjusting to new technologies, new environment and changes.

4. Emotional Intelligence – Working in a team, understanding people’s feelings and giving right response at right time.

5. Creative – The ability to think outside the box, because machines can copy, but not think.

6. Technology Awareness – No matter what field you are in, basic knowledge of AI and digital tools is very important.

What to do if you don’t get a job yet?

1. Audit your skills – For this, think about what abilities you have which you can further improve.

2. Learn from online courses – Today there are many free platforms where you can learn new skills. Like Coursera, Udemy, or LinkedIn Learning

3. Create a network – Making professional connections is more important now than ever. Be active on LinkedIn, connect with new people, share your projects.

4. Start with small tasks – Be it internship, freelancing or any small project, start from anywhere. Every experience will strengthen your professional identity.

5. Take care of mental health – Take time for yourself and meditate.

Don’t be afraid of AI, make it your partner

63 percent of the business leaders surveyed believe that AI is now doing the work that entry-level employees used to do earlier. But in the same survey it was also found that the same number of leaders also believe that new ideas and fresh thinking of the youth are necessary for the growth of any company. So understand AI and learn to use it in your work.
