A different game is going on in Bangladesh. On one side is the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), which has refused to send its team to India for the T20 World Cup. ICC has not yet given any decision on this. On the other hand, Bangladesh Cricketers Welfare Association (CWAB) president and cricket player Mohammad Mithun says that he has received death threats for speaking in the interest of the players.
What is the matter?
This matter is related to the statement of BCB Director Nazrul Islam, in which he had said that even if Bangladesh does not play the T20 World Cup in 2026, in such a situation no compensation will be given to the players. He even said that the players have not done enough to be compensated. The effect of this statement was that the players boycotted cricket related activities.
If you go against it, you will be killed
While talking to Cricbuzz, Mohammad Mithun revealed that as the CWAB President, he had raised his voice for the rights of the players, but now he is receiving death threats. He said that being the President of CWAB, if he does not raise his voice for the players, then who will? Also, due to fear, they are not picking up calls from unknown numbers.
Mithun told that he has not yet informed BCB about receiving death threats. Apart from this, other players have also received death threats. He said that till date he has not even gone to the police station, nor has he said anything against the country. Despite this, he is receiving death threats.
