If you have passed the 12th examination between 1990 and 2024 and are not happy with your marks, then now you have a golden opportunity to improve your marks. Haryana School Education Board has started a special scheme for such students under which old students can now increase their 12th marks.
What is this special plan?
Haryana Board has taken this decision keeping in mind those students who have passed the 12th examination between 1990 and 2024 but now they feel that their marks could have been better. All such students are now being given a chance to give “Special Improvement Exam”. By passing this examination, students can get their marks updated.
Opportunity to improve in two subjects
Under this scheme of the board, former students can improve their marks by giving examination in maximum two subjects. If the students perform better in these two subjects, then new marks will be added to their old result and an updated mark sheet will be issued.
Application fee and important information
The application fee for this special examination has been fixed at Rs 10,000. The application will be valid only after depositing the fee. The board has clearly said that the last date to apply is 15 November 2025. After this no application will be accepted, hence interested candidates have been advised to apply on time.
Why was this decision taken
Haryana Board says that many old students today feel difficulty in getting job, promotion or further studies because of their marks. In olden times, the examination pattern was different due to which their marks were less than today. Now the board has given them this opportunity so that they can improve their marks for their career or self-satisfaction.
Which students will benefit?
This scheme is especially beneficial for those people who have passed 12th examination between 1990 to 2024, had given the examination from government or non-government school, are dissatisfied with their old results and want to improve their marks.

Any student who wants to take advantage of this opportunity. They will have to apply online from 31 October to 15 November 2025.
