32 -year -old Arun Kumar, who hails from New Delhi, engaged for many years of his youth in the preparation for the Civil Services Examination. Like every time, this time he could not make a place in the final cut-off list. In such a situation, he once again had the challenge to start life afresh. But now UPSC has opened a new window of hope for thousands of youth, which have not been able to come in the final selection list.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has now started a new service for such candidates, who have not been able to pass the Civil Services Examination, but who have the experience of hard work, discipline and administrative thinking. The Commission has started a special portal, where these candidates can share their profiles for private companies.
The objective of this initiative is that these candidates can get an opportunity for alternative career according to their ability. Private companies will now be able to see these profiles and will be able to invite eligible candidates for jobs.

Thousands of youth like Arun will benefit
Many candidates like Arun Kumar have put their age and energy in preparing for UPSC. Some reach the interview, but the final selection is not possible. In such a situation, neither they get any government job nor they are able to enter the private sector directly because their full experience is limited to the preparation of UPSC.
Arun started working at an entry-level administrative post in a public school, but he was not getting work and recognition according to his ability. In such a situation, one day he received a call from a corporate company, in which he was proposed for a better job based on his UPSC background. This was a new beginning for him.
How to work?
Candidates whose name is not in the final list of civil service can register on the portal. Private companies can visit this portal and see the profiles of candidates. Eligible candidates can get interviews and job proposals from companies.
