IGNOU Admissions 2026: Process started to continue admission in IGNOU in the next semester, know when is the last date?

Indira Gandhi National Open University has started the re-registration process for the January 2026 session. If you are already studying in any open or online course of IGNOU, then it is necessary for you to re-register to continue your studies in the next semester or next year. This process has started from 1 December 2025 and the last date for filling the form has been kept as 15 January 2026.

Which students will have to re-register?

Any student who wants to continue the next part of their course will have to re-register. During this time, students can update their information, choose new subjects and pay the fees online. IGNOU has advised that students should choose the course wisely, because they may face problems if they make changes later.

Be careful while paying fees

While depositing the fees, students should keep in mind that they should pay the fees carefully through online only. Fees will be paid through credit card, debit card, net banking and UPI. In case of delay in payment, the student will have to wait for some time and if the amount has been debited twice then wait, the amount will automatically be returned to the student’s account in some time.

• First of all go to ignou.ac.in website.
• Click on “Re-Registration” option visible on the homepage.
• Now select “Online Registration” from the menu.
• Read complete information and click on “Proceed for Re-Registration”.
• The login page will open in front of you.
• Enter your username and password and fill the captcha.
• After logging in, choose the subjects of your choice.
• Pay the fees online and submit the form.
• Finally, download or print a copy of the application.
