Indira Gandhi National Open University i.e. IGNOU is going to organize a big placement drive for its current students and old students. This placement campaign will take place from 10 February to 13 February 2026 at IGNOU centers located in different states of the country. This is a good opportunity for the youth who are looking for a job because by participating in it through online registration, they will get a chance to get direct interview and job offer.
According to the information given by IGNOU, many renowned companies of Fintech, IT and BPO sectors will participate in this placement drive. These companies will give job offers to the youth for different posts. Along with freshers, candidates who have some work experience can also apply. This will give a good opportunity to the youth to start or progress their career.
Placement drives will be organized in different states on scheduled dates. Placement will take place in Bengaluru and Bijapur in Karnataka region on 11 and 13 February 2026. In Maharashtra region, candidates will get a chance on 10, 11 and 13 February 2026 in Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur. Whereas in Uttarakhand region, placement drive will be organized in Dehradun on 12 February 2026. Candidates can attend placement as per their nearest center and date.
Where to register
Any candidate who wants to participate in this placement drive will have to register online by visiting the official website of IGNOU. While registering, the candidate will have to fill the information related to his region. IGNOU has advised students to apply well in time so that there is no problem at the last moment.
To participate in the placement drive, the candidate must have obtained any kind of UG, PG, Diploma, BA, MBA or other degree from IGNOU. Along with this, the candidate must have good communication skills, understanding of working with a team, willingness to learn, time management and basic digital knowledge. Companies will pay special attention to these things during the interview.
These are the important documents
Candidates will have to bring some important documents on the day of placement. This includes two updated copies of resume, government identity card like Aadhar Card, Voter ID, driving license or passport, IGNOU ID card, two recent passport size photographs, original and photocopies of all marksheets and certificates. If the candidate has worked somewhere before, then experience certificate will also have to be brought along.
