The film has been written by Sriram Raghavan with Arijit Biswas and Pooja Ladha Surti. The story of Ikkis revolves around the character Arun Khetarpal starring Agastya Nanda. Arun was martyred at the age of 21 during the Battle of Basantar in the Indo-Pak war of 1971. For his extraordinary courage and sacrifice, he was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra.
