IMD Forecast Today: Cold will increase in UP after 5 days, rain alert on Chhath in Bihar, know the latest warning of Meteorological Department


Pink cold is knocking in many parts of the country, while morning fog is being seen in Delhi-NCR since Diwali. Continuous rain continues in the southern and western parts. According to the India Meteorological Department, heavy to very heavy rainfall has been recorded in many parts of South Karnataka, Kerala, Manipur and Tamil Nadu in the last 24 hours.

There is a possibility of clear sky in Delhi on Friday (24 October). Light mist or fog may be visible in the morning. The maximum temperature in Delhi is likely to be between 31 to 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be between 17 to 19 degrees Celsius. The air quality of Delhi has deteriorated significantly and the slow wind has worsened the situation. Anand Vihar recorded an air quality index (AQI) of 428, the highest among all the monitoring stations. Air quality at most other stations in Delhi remained in the ‘very poor’ category, while at only 6 out of 48 stations it was found in the ‘poor’ category.

Mercury will fall in UP
At present the weather in Uttar Pradesh is clear and dry. According to the Meteorological Department, at present there is no active weather system in effect in the state. Changes can be seen in the weather of southern Uttar Pradesh from October 29. Meteorologist Atul Singh said that at present the weather will remain dry in the entire state till October 28.

In the next 3-4 days, the minimum temperature is likely to drop by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in Western Uttar Pradesh and by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius in Eastern Uttar Pradesh, while there will be no significant change in the maximum temperature. Western and central parts of the state are likely to record 16 to 18 degrees Celsius, while many parts of the eastern and central regions are likely to record 20 to 22 degrees Celsius. Overall, the weather will remain dry and pleasant in the state for the next few days. However, by the end of the month, the weather pattern may change due to the possibility of light rain in the southern and eastern districts.

How will be the weather of Bihar during Chhath Puja?
There is a change in the weather in Bihar even before Chhath Puja. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain and cloudy sky in many parts of the state in the next few days. IMD says that the weather will be normal on the days of Nahay-Khay and Kharna, but there may be light clouds and drizzle during the evening Arghya and morning Arghya.

According to IMD, there are chances of rain from October 27. There is a possibility of rain in Jamui and Bhagalpur on this day. There is a possibility of sporadic rain in Nawada, Jamui and Banka districts on October 28.

Rain and snowfall in Uttarakhand
Signs of change are visible in the weather of Uttarakhand. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in many parts of the state. Light rain is expected in hilly areas, while snowfall may occur in high altitude areas. The effect of rain and snowfall in the mountainous areas can also be felt in the plains below, due to which there will be a drop in temperature. According to IMD, there is a possibility of light rain in Dehradun, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar and Rudraprayag today.

According to the Meteorological Department, a new low pressure area is likely to develop in the south-east and nearby East-Central Bay of Bengal on October 24. IMD said that there is a possibility of light to moderate rain and thundershowers in Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Tenkasi, Vellore, Tiruvannamalai and nearby valley areas of Coimbatore and Tiruppur districts of Tamil Nadu.
