Imd weather forecast: Delhi, Maharashtra and many other states have received heavy rains in the last 24 hours. Even today, there are chances of heavy rains in many parts. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for heavy rains in 6 states of the country.
According to the IMD, there may be heavy rains in the next 24 hours in South Bengal, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Gujarat. At the same time, there is a possibility of very heavy rains in Assam and Meghalaya for the next two days, so a red alert has also been issued there. Apart from this, there may be heavy rains in many places in Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand and Odisha today. Also, the process of rain may continue in Northeast India for the next 5 days.
Warning of rain with strong winds in these states
Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Madhya Pradesh may receive rain with strong winds at a speed of 50 to 70 kilometers per hour today. There is a possibility of rain in these states on Thursday.
It will rain till 22 June
According to the Meteorological Department, between June 18 to 20, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada will rain with strong winds. On 18 and 19 June, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Lakshadweep and Karnataka are also expected to have good rains. Punjab, Haryana and western Uttar Pradesh may receive heavy rains between 20 and 22 June. At the same time, rain is estimated in eastern Uttar Pradesh on June 19 and 20.
Alert in many districts of Himachal
Orange alert has been issued for heavy rains in Mandi and Shimla districts of Himachal. There is a yellow alert in Bilaspur, Solan and Sirmaur, while the rest of the districts are also likely to rain with thunderstorms.
Possibility of heavy rains in Delhi too
Delhi-NCR received rain on Tuesday night. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Wednesday. Today, it may rain with air at a speed of 50–60 km/h in the day. At the same time, the maximum temperature is estimated to be 34 ° C and the minimum is 27 ° C.
