GST 2.0: On the first day of Navratri, on Monday, September 22, the GST reform came into force across the country. Under this, there will be two slabs in GST. GST will be imposed on most things at the rate of 5 percent and 18 percent. This has brought a lot of relief to the general public of the country because with the removal of 12 percent and 28 percent slabs, the things coming in them have now shifted to 5 percent and 18 percent slabs. In such a situation, the prices of many things have reduced. Its impact was seen on the market.

Goods sold in shops

On Monday, air conditioner and TV have been strongly sold. Leave the talk of big shops, the grocery stores of the street were also seen as a crowd was seen because the prices of food and drink have also been reduced under GST 2.0. During this time, people also took great advantage of the discounts being received from retailers on the occasion of Navratri. Due to the implementation of GST reforms on Monday, the demand from cosmetics to food items, TV, AC has also increased. Dealers of the Home Appliances Segment say that the air conditioner used to have GST at the rate of 28 percent earlier, but now it will be imposed 18 percent GST. The effect of this was such that on the very first day there was a recorded sale in the shops.

On the very first day, selling sales

Speaking to the news agency PTI, HAIER India President NS Satish said, “Regular sales trend was encouraging. Our dealers informed about being almost double cell compared to the second Monday till 5 pm. Large cells of e-commerce companies are starting from today and many consumers will keep an eye on prices before deciding to buy. Many of our dealers have bought machines today under the ‘auspicious start-start-a-time Muhurta’.

The TV manufacturing company Super Plastronics Private Limited (SPPL) CEO Avneet Singh Marwah, which has licensed all global brands like Thomson, Kodak, Blopkt, said that there has been an increase of 30 to 35 percent in sales on the first day of GST 2.0. The company sells TVs through e-commerce platform Flipkart.

He said, “Sales of 43 inch screen size and 55 -inch screen size TV sets rose from 30 to 35, on which GST rates have been reduced.” Here, there was confusion about MRP at grocery shops. People were seen arguing with shopkeepers over low prices. Many companies will release the data of sales on the first day.
