Before the fourth session of the 16th Assembly in Rajasthan, a cabinet meeting is being organized today (Wednesday, January 21) under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. This is considered an important meeting before the assembly session in which many big decisions will be taken. In these, mainly the outline of the Assembly will be decided along with the Governor’s address. Many major policy decisions and legislative actions can get green signal in this meeting.
Actually, the assembly session is going to start from January 28. Before that this important cabinet meeting has been called. There will be an address by the Governor on the first day of the session, in which a blueprint of new policies will be prepared along with information about the upcoming public welfare schemes and work of the government. The final draft of the address will be prepared in this meeting. There will be a debate between the party and the opposition on the address in the House for three days, to which the government will respond on the fifth day.
These issues can be approved
In this cabinet meeting, many important legal changes and ordinances will be discussed and approved, which will later be tabled in the House. Rajasthan Public Trust (Amendment) Ordinance-2025, its objective is to simplify the rules and promote good governance.
Rajasthan Shops and Commercial Establishments (Amendment) Ordinance is being considered a big step in terms of ease of doing business. Panchayat and Municipal Act, under which amendments related to the functioning and powers of local bodies can also be approved by the Cabinet.
There will be discussion on Governor’s address and Republic Day
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel said that this cabinet meeting to be held before the budget session is very important. He said that topics related to the legislative work to be presented in the Assembly, the Governor’s address and the message to be given on the occasion of Republic Day will also be discussed.
Necessary guidelines will be given to the concerned departments and agencies. The cabinet meeting will play an important role in the direction of the budget session. The decisions taken in this meeting will not only impact the proceedings of the Assembly, but will also decide the direction of development and administrative reforms of the state.
