India’s manufacturing sector situation has improved somewhat in the month of March than before. At the same time, CIL’s coal production declined by 3.1 percent to 8.58 million tonnes as against the same period of one year in March in March. In this month of FY 2023-24, the coal production of the company was 8.86 million tonnes. The subsidiary companies of Coal India include Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) and South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL).

Coal India has more than 80 percent stake in domestic production. In FY 2023-24, Coal India produced 77.36 million tonnes of coal with 11 percent increase on an annual basis. Coal India Limited had already said that the actual production target for FY 2024-25 will be reduced from 83.8 million tonnes to 80.6-81 million tonnes. The company has set a target of producing 86.8 million tonnes of coal for the current financial year 2025-26. & nbsp;

NTPC Mining said on Tuesday that it has produced 4.57 million tonnes of coal from its five private mines in financial year 2024-25. The total supply of coal to the power stations of NTPC was four crore 47.2 lakh tonnes, which is an increase of 26 percent year-on-year. The company did not provide comparative production data. NTPC Mining is a subsidiary company of NTPC Limited.
