Xiaomi, the company that makes many gadgets including smartphones, has achieved a big place in the electric car segment. We are saying this because the company’s electric SUV Xiaomi Yu7 has been booked by 2 lakh people within 3 minutes. Within an hour, this figure reached 2 lakh 89 thousand units. Xiaomi also delivered this electric SUV to more than 6 thousand customers in the first month.
According to Bloomberg report, Xiaomi’s Fonezer Lei June says that in future, consider buying a second brand car to buy Yu7. This is the first time that the CEO of a car manufacturer is asking its customers to buy another car.
What is special in Xiaomi electric car?
The design of Xiaomi Yu7 is inspired by its SU7 sedan, which gives a glimpse of high-end cars like Porsche Macan and Ferrari Purosangue. The SUV has been launched in two variants (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD). The electric motor installed in this SUV has the capacity to generate power of 288kw and torque of 528Nm, which makes it great in terms of performance.
Xiaomi Yu7 has been introduced by the company with three different battery variants, which make its range and performance extremely flexible according to the needs of customers. In this, the first variant comes with a battery of 96.3kwh which gives a range of up to 835 km in the rear-wheel drive (RWD) configuration.
Electric car range and price
The second variant is also with a battery of 96.3kwh but it is equipped with an all-wheel drive system, which gives a range of 760 km. At the same time, a battery of 101.7kwh has been given in the third and most powerful variants, which has a capacity to run up to 770 km in the AWD Max configuration. These figures direct Yu7 directly to Tesla Model Y and other high-end electric vehicles.
Talking about the price, the initial price of Xiaomi Yu7 has been kept at 2,53,500 yuan i.e. about 30 lakh rupees, which is about 1.19 lakh cheaper than Tesla Model Y. In this way, Xiaomi Yu7 is not only technically capable but also emerges as Value for Money and especially the Mid-Primium EV SUV segment as a great option for the customers.
