In Kannauj district of Uttar Pradesh, on Friday, a trainee female constable (soldier) allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in the bathroom of the barrack. The police gave this information on Friday. An official said that as soon as the incident was reported, the officers reached the spot and took the body down. Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) of Kanpur Zone Harishchandra also reached Kannauj and inquired about the incident.
The official said that the deceased soldier Ranu Jadaun (23) is a resident of Etah district. He told that Ranu was admitted to the police this year and she was undergoing training in the police line Kannauj. Kannauj Superintendent of Police (SP) Vinod Kumar said that at around 2 pm, trainee woman constable Ranu Jadaun committed suicide by making a noose from a dupatta in the hostel toilet reserved for women. The officer said that the female soldier was immediately rushed to the district hospital, where doctors declared her dead. He told that many things have been found from the spot, which the police are investigating.
Many important evidence found from the deceased- SP
On the other hand, SP Vinod Kumar said that prima facie a case of suicide is being seen, the deceased has hanged in the bathroom of the hostel. The SP said that many important evidence has been found from the deceased.
Father said that a boy used to harass daughter
The Kannauj police has also issued a press note, according to which the police line is to make the suicide of the woman constable Ranu Jadon in Kannauj that the deceased was written by Ranu Jadon’s father Shyamveer Singh, while giving a complaint written by Shyamvir Singh, that his daughter was harassed by Madhavnagar Jalesar Etah’s boy Devesh alias Debu Singh alias Prempal Yadav. The father told that the boy used to ask his daughter to leave his job, due to which his daughter was upset, that is why he committed suicide.
Team formed to arrest the accused
On the basis of the Tahrir given by the father of the deceased, in the police station Kotwali Kannauj, MU No. 520/2025 Section 108 BNS vs Devesh alias Debu has been registered against the above. A team has been formed and dispatched for the arrest of the accused. The dead body was handed over to the family by conducting a post -mortem of the deceased. The cause of death in the post -mortem report is asphyxia due to antimortem hanging.
