In Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi government has come under attack from the opposition in the case of City Magistrate Alankar Agnihotri in Bareilly and Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand in Prayagaj. Dr. ST Hasan, former Samajwadi Party MP from Moradabad, said, “Brahmins are also being subjected to atrocities within the state. There are four great Shankaracharyas in our country, and everyone respects them. It is the responsibility of all of us to respect the spiritual and religious person of any religion.”
Dr Hasan further said, “We too are saddened and everyone is pained to see the way Shankaracharya ji’s followers, who had gone to take a bath in Prayagraj, were pulled by their hair and beaten. Such religious people should not have been treated like this.”
After minorities, now oppression on Brahmins
Regarding the intention of the government, the SP MP said, “We also know the condition of the minorities, we are silent and pray to Allah that the situation should change. But it is a matter of regret that Brahmins are the largest caste among the Hindus. The same discrimination and treatment is being done to them. In such a situation, where is India going? First you converted Hindus to Muslims, now you have fallen into casteism. Now they are troubling the Brahmins too. Whereas everyone respects the Brahmins.” Are.”
Demand for suspension of misbehaving officers
Dr. S.T. Hasan demanded action against the police-administrative officers who assaulted in Prayagraj and said, “Why have the officers who misbehaved with the followers of Shankaracharya ji not been suspended yet? Why has no action been taken against them? Our government is silent on this. Is it a conspiracy by the BJP? It is a matter to think.”
Ban on non-Hindus in religious places wrong
On the demand of ban on non-Hindus from visiting Badrinath and other religious places in Uttarakhand, Dr. Hasan said, “Our Constitution gives equal rights to all the citizens of the country, Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian. We can come anywhere, no one can stop us. But if any particular person insults any religious place, then he should be punished for that and not you should create a communal atmosphere that no Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain or Christian will come here. The Constitution of India does not say this. Today we have to think about how to save our Constitution, then there will be chaos in the country and the country will be on the verge of civil war.
Concern expressed over resignation of City Magistrate
On the resignation of the City Magistrate in Bareilly, the SP MP said, “This is a very serious matter. The government should change its attitude, respect the respectable people and deal with the nefarious and criminals as per its own.”
