Stalin Government Announced Coupons Worth ₹8,000 For Women: The election period has begun in Tamil Nadu. The ruling party DMK has released its manifesto on Sunday i.e. 29 March. This manifesto was presented by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin released in Chennai. In this manifesto, it has been announced that a coupon of Rs 8000 will be given to women, which is being discussed the most. Let us tell you that elections are to be held in Tamil Nadu on 23rd April. That’s why all the parties are making new announcements through their respective manifestos.
Chief Minister MK Stalin explained the reason for giving coupons
In this program organized in Chennai, when Chief Minister Stalin was asked that other parties were talking about depositing money directly into bank accounts, then why did you choose the route of coupons? On this he said, ‘If we give cash directly, then there is a fear that it will be spent on other minor expenses of the house. We want that the women of the house should have the freedom to buy the goods of their choice. The coupon means that they can buy any major item like washing machine, TV, fridge or mixer as per their need or can exchange the old one for a new one. During this, Stalin quipped, ‘Our manifesto was a hero in the 2021 elections, but this manifesto is both a hero and a heroine.’
This manifesto has been made with Janta’s suggestions.
DMK Deputy General Secretary Kanimozhi, who headed the Manifesto Committee, told the whole story behind this manifesto. He said that we have not been in any hurry to make it. A complete committee was formed, which visited different districts of Tamil Nadu and spoke directly to the public.
According to Kanimozhi, ‘This is not just the vision of the party, but a suggestion of every person we met. We wanted that when we give something to people, they should have full right to choose what they want. Real democracy is to give the people the right to choose the goods of their choice.
