BJP leader Shazia Ilmi has attacked the Congress fiercely with the announcement of Bihar bandh. He said that Bihar is closed tomorrow. We will not bear insult to the Prime Minister. Ilmi also targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and said that he is traveling to gain power and the Congress does not care about democracy.
Shazia Ilmi accused Pawan Kheda and his wife of having two EPIC cards and said that why the Congress does not act on it. He alleged that Tejashwi Yadav had two epic numbers in Bihar too. Ilmi says that the Congress party does vote robbery and the Election Commission should take action against the leaders. He questioned why Rahul Gandhi is silent on this issue.
Pawan Kheda may fall in trouble
Congress’s media department chief Pawan Kheda may get caught in trouble for being named in the voter list of two assemblies of Delhi. The Election Commission has sent a notice to them and sought a reply. Pawan Kheda admitted the name being in two voter lists, but also clarified that he has applied to remove the name from one place.
What will Pawan Kheda get punishment if the charge is proved?
If it was proved in front of the Election Commission that he deliberately gave wrong information, then he may have to bear a jail, fine or both under Section 31 of the Representation of People Act. Earlier, in the past, Bihar leader Tejashwi Yadav and Agriculture Minister Vijay Sinha have had a dispute over the name of two voter lists.
Amit Malviya offered evidence
BJP’s social media cell chief Amit Malviya presented evidence of being voters from Pawan Kheda’s Jangpura and New Delhi assembly constituencies. He also shared both the EPIC number and photocopy of the voter list released to Pawan Kheda on social media platform X.
Election Commission sent notice to Pawan Kheda
The Election Commission was not satisfied with the cleanliness of Pawan Kheda, after which the notice was issued to him in the evening. According to the Commission, to include the name in the voter list, Form 6 has to be filled, while it is necessary to fill Form 7 to transfer the name from one place to another. It is obvious that Pawan Kheda will have included his name in the voter list by filling the form in both places.
While filling Form 6, the voter has to sign the manifesto that his name is not in the voter list at any other place. Now Pawan Kheda will have to clarify his position on this. If it has been proved that he filled Form 6 in both places and included his name, then an FIR can be registered against him under the Representation of People Act. In Section 31 of this law, there is a provision of punishment in the event of deliberately giving wrong information.
Pawan Kheda replied on Election Commission notice
Pawan Kheda, stating that the notice of the Election Commission was motivated by politics, alleged that Rahul Gandhi had handed over the list of more than one lakh suspected voters from Mahadevpura in Karnataka to the Election Commission, but no action was taken on it. Now, according to him, under the pressure of BJP, the Election Commission is issuing notice to them.
