1.Litton Das
Liton Das, the captain of the Bangladesh team for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 to be hosted by India and Sri Lanka, is a Bengali-Hindu, who has been representing the country in all three formats for a long time. Liton has played more than 50 Tests, more than 90 ODIs and more than 100 T20 International matches so far. He married Debashree Biswas Sonchita in the year 2019.
2. Soumya Sarkar
Bangladesh’s opening batsman Soumya Sarkar is also a Bengali-Hindu cricketer, who has shown his talent in every format for Bangladesh. Soumya Sarkar has led Bangladeshi team to victory on many occasions. He has played 87 T20s, 79 ODIs and 16 Tests so far and is still an important player of the Bangladeshi team.
3. Alok Kapali
One of the early cricketers of Bangladesh was Alok Kapali, who was born in a Hindu family. In his international career, he played 17 Tests, 69 ODIs and 7 T20 International matches for Bangladesh. Tapash Baisya represented Bangladesh in Test and ODI. Although he has never spoken publicly about his religious beliefs, his background has often been linked to the Hindu community. Tapash was a talented fast bowler of his team in the 2000s.
5. Dhiman Ghosh
Wicketkeeper-batsman Dhiman Ghosh has had a short career for Bangladesh. He played 14 ODIs and only one T20 International in his career, in which his performance was disappointing.
6. Rony Talukdar
Ronnie Talukdar was born in a Hindu family of Narayanganj, who has played only one ODI and 11 T20 Internationals for Bangladesh. Ronnie played his first ODI match in the year 2023 whereas he made his debut in T-20 International seven years ago i.e. in 2015. Ronnie kept waiting for his turn in the team for a long time, but despite his excellent performance in domestic cricket, sometimes Tamim Iqbal was selected and sometimes trust was expressed in some other player. Ronnie, who played his last match for Bangladesh in the year 2023, is still active in domestic cricket.
