Inba, who belonged to a very ordinary family, faced many difficulties in life, but never backed down from her goal. Despite limited resources and financial constraints, he fulfilled his dream of becoming an IPS officer by passing the difficult examination like UPSC. His success story is an inspiration for those youth who have the courage to fulfill their dreams despite struggles.
Childhood spent amidst financial crisis
S. Inba is a resident of Sengottai area of Tenkasi district of Tamil Nadu. His family has been very weak financially. His mother works as a beedi maker, while his father works as a bus conductor. Due to the limited income of the family, managing the household expenses was also challenging. Growing up in these difficult circumstances, Inba dreamed of improving the condition of her family since childhood. She had understood that education was the only way through which she could change the future of her life and family.
Brother’s cooperation showed the right path
His brother’s contribution has been very important in Inba’s success. Due to the family’s financial problems, her brother could not continue his studies further, but he gave priority to his sister’s studies and dreams. When Inba was thinking of taking up a job considering the family responsibilities, her brother inspired her to prepare for the Civil Services Examination. He also helped him financially and constantly encouraged him. Presently his brother is working abroad and is handling the responsibilities of the family.
Started preparation for civil services after engineering
S. Inba completed her engineering degree in Computer Science from Coimbatore Institute of Technology in the year 2020. After completing his studies, he started preparing for the Civil Services Examination. His goal was to become an IAS officer. During preparation, he studied for a long time in the government library. He also continued his studies through online medium and continuously tried to improve himself. Despite difficult circumstances, he did not let his studies suffer in any way.
Despite continuous failures, courage did not break
UPSC exam is considered one of the toughest exams in the country. Inba also had to face many challenges to get success in this examination. She could not pass the preliminary examination twice in a row, but she did not give up. By learning from failures, he further strengthened his preparation. During this time, he got information about a scheme of Tamil Nadu government, under which financially weak girl students are given financial assistance to prepare for competitive examinations. With the financial help received under this scheme, he got the opportunity to study in a better environment.
Achieved great success in the third attempt
With continuous hard work and confidence, Inba appeared for the UPSC exam for the third time. This time his preparation was stronger than before. He successfully passed all the stages of the examination and secured good rank at All India level. After this he chose IPS service.
