India has taken another special step to strengthen the Air Force. Israel will support him in this. Indian Air Force is soon going to get 6 new mid-air refueling aircraft. For this, talks are going on for a deal worth Rs 8 thousand crore with Israel, which is in the final stage. Israeli government owned company ,Israeli Aircraft Industries,is working on this.
According to the report of ‘ANI’, Israel Aircraft Industries is working on the project of refueling aircraft. She is modifying second hand Boeing 767 commercial planes. It is being prepared for mid-air refueling through necessary changes. Some companies from Russia and Europe were also involved in the race for this deal, but they could not fulfill the Make in India and technical conditions. The Israeli company has agreed to use 30 percent Make in India goods.
Air Force will remove old aircraft
The Indian government was trying to buy tanker planes for the last 15 years, but somewhere the matter was getting stuck. However, now positive results have been seen in this regard. The Indian Air Force is gradually retiring its old aircraft and in their place new fighter aircraft will be able to cover long distances with the help of mid-air refueling.
What is mid-air refueling aircraft?
Mid-air refueling aircraft is capable of refueling any aircraft in mid-air. It delivers fuel to other aircraft in case of emergency. It will be used most in war situations. If a fighter jet is low on fuel during combat, mid-air refueling will immediately reach and refill it. With this, fighter jets will be able to cover greater distances.
The headache of China and Pakistan will increase
India has worked rapidly to strengthen the army after Operation Sindoor. Under this, talks are going on on arms deals for the Air Force as well as the Navy and Army. Now Pakistan will face problems because of mid-air refueling aircraft.
