The fifth T20 match between India and Australia will be played tomorrow at the Gabba ground in Brisbane. The Indian team is leading 2-1 in the five-match T20 series. Jasprit Bumrah can make a historical record in this match. So far only one Indian bowler has achieved the feat of taking 100 wickets in T20 International. Bumrah can write new history by taking just one wicket in Brisbane tomorrow.
Bumrah will write new history
Jasprit Bumrah has taken 99 wickets in his T20 career so far after playing 79 matches. He will become only the second Indian bowler to score a century of wickets in T20 International by taking just one wicket in the fifth T20 match against Australia. The first Indian bowler to do this is Arshdeep Singh. Arshdeep Singh had completed 100 wickets in the 64th T20 match of his career. Bumrah can do this in the 80th match of his T20 career.
Till now, a total of 28 cricketers in the world have touched the figure of 100 wickets in T20 International cricket. By taking a wicket in Brisbane tomorrow, Bumrah will become the 29th cricketer to be added to this list.
Indians taking most T20 wickets
Arshdeep Singh is the Indian bowler who has taken the most wickets in T20 International. Jasprit Bumrah is at second place in this list, who currently has 99 wickets. With 98 wickets, Hardik Pandya is at third place in the list of Indian bowlers. Yuzvendra Chahal is at fourth place, who currently has 96 wickets and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who has taken 90 wickets, is at fifth place.
