Suryakumar Yadav said in the press conference, “It feels great to finally touch the trophy. When I was handed the series win trophy, I felt it in my hands. Just a few days ago, another trophy has come to India, our women’s team has won the World Cup. That trophy has also come back home. It feels great and it also feels good to touch this trophy.”
According to Times of India, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia said, “We had a meeting with Pakistan Cricket Board Chief Mohsin Naqvi. The Asia Cup Trophy was not on the agenda of the official meeting, so the ICC arranged a separate meeting with Naqvi. We would like to thank the ICC for making an effort to resolve this dispute. There was a cordial talk between the two sides and both sides want to resolve this issue as soon as possible.”
