The match will be played from August 1 at Kennington Oval, London, in which India will take the series 2–2 to equalize.

BCCI told the reason

Workload management has been described as the main reason behind the absence of Bumrah. According to the report of ESPNcricinfo, the BCCI medical team has said that this decision has been taken keeping in mind Bumrah’s back care and future availability.

Actually, before the start of the series, it was decided about Bumrah that he would play at most three Test matches. This decision was taken under the workload management.

Bumrah has so far played Handingley, Lords and Old Trafford Tests in this series, while he was given rest in Edgbaston. He has taken 14 wickets so far and is jointly the highest wicket -taking bowler for India with Mohammad Siraj.

Fatigue in the fourth test

At the same time, he could not bowl in the first session of the fourth day of the match. Coach Gautam Gambhir had said after the match that Bumrah is available for the 5th Test, but two days later the team has decided to relax him.

Akashdeep’s return possible

Akashdeep can get a chance in the team instead of Bumrah. He could not play in the Manchester Test due to back pain, but he definitely participated in the team’s alternative practice session on Tuesday. If they fit perfectly, they can be included in the playing eleven.

India has an equal chance

India is currently 1-2 behind in the five-match series. Team India would like to equalize the series 2-2 by winning the Oval Test. Under the leadership of Captain Shubman Gill, the team is giving a tough fight to England on his land. Now it will be seen that in the absence of Bumrah, the responsibility of fast bowling goes on whose shoulders.
