Sunil gavaskar on ind vs eng test series: The five -match Test series between India and England ended on 4 August. But even after the end of this Anderson-Tendulkar series, questions are being raised on the England Cricket Board. Indian legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar has raised questions on ECB. In a conversation with Star Sports, Gavaskar openly said that when the series was played for the first time in the name of Sachin Tendulkar and James Anderson, why both the players were not invited to give the trophy there.
Sunil Gavaskar raised questions on ECB
Former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar said that no one was called from the Pataudi family there at the time of presentation. The England Cricket Board had said that the captain of the team that won the series will be given the Pataudi Trophy, but if the series became equal at 2-2, this decision had no meaning. Gavaskar further said that if such a series continues to end on par, then there is no use of this medal. It would have been better decided that this Pataudi Trophy would have been given to Man of the Series.
Sunil Gavaskar targeted the ECB not only on this matter but also for not calling Sachin Tendulkar and James Anderson in the presentation. Gavaskar said that this was the first series called Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. As far as I know, both players were present there during the series. It would have been good that he would be called in the presentation ceremony. After all, why did he not be called.
