Gavaskar further said that if such a series continues to end on par, then there is no use of this medal. It would have been better decided that this Pataudi Trophy would have been given to Man of the Series.
Sunil Gavaskar targeted the ECB not only on this matter but also for not calling Sachin Tendulkar and James Anderson in the presentation. Gavaskar said that this was the first series called Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. As far as I know, both players were present there during the series. It would have been good that he would be called in the presentation ceremony. After all, why did he not be called.
