What did Sourav Ganguly say when Shreyas Iyer is not there
In this interview, Sourav Ganguly targeted the selectors when Shreyas Iyer was not there and said that he is not the players that should be excluded. He said, “He has been giving his best for the last one year, he should have been in the team. He is not a player who should be kept out of the team. He is now playing good innings under pressure, understanding responsibilities, playing short balls. Although Test cricket is different but I wanted him to be seen in this series to see what he can do.”
Looking at Shreyas Iyer’s Test career, he has scored 811 runs in average of 36.86 in 24 fairy of 14 matches. This includes a century and 5 half -centuries. Iyer played his last Test against England in February 2024.
