The third T20 match between India and New Zealand was played at the Baraspara Stadium in Guwahati, during which an Indian bowler has come into the limelight. This bowler has taken a wicket in international cricket after almost a year. Actually, in the third T20 match, the Indian team had rested Arshdeep Singh and Varun Chakraborty. In such a situation, Ravi Bishnoi got a chance to replace Chakraborty as a spinner, who took an international wicket after 357 days.

Ravi Bishnoi had not played any match for Team India for the last one year. His last match came against England in February 2025, in that match he took one wicket. After 357 days, Ravi Bishnoi got the opportunity to play in the playing eleven of Team India.
Ravi Bishnoi took his first wicket of Mark Chapman in this match. He dismissed Chapman on the score of 12. He took his second wicket of the match by dismissing Glenn Phillips on the score of 48. In his comeback match, Bishnoi took two wickets giving only 18 runs in 4 overs. Bishnoi’s strong bowling played an important role in restricting New Zealand to 153 runs. He has made good use of the opportunity he got after a year.
Ravi Bishnoi’s career
Ravi Bishnoi made his international debut in the year 2022. Till now he has played only one ODI match for Team India. But his figures in T20 have been good. Bishnoi has taken 63 wickets in his T20 career of 43 matches. He took a total of 22 wickets for Team India in the year 2024, but after that he dropped from Team India in the beginning of 2025.
