After this, fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah pushed Pakistan’s batting on the backfoot by taking two consecutive wickets in the form of Saim Ayub and Salman Ali Agha in his spell. His performance put a brake on Pakistan’s run rate.

Spinner Akshar Patel also did wonders in the middle overs. He strengthened India’s hold on the match by dismissing Pakistan’s leading batsmen. Apart from this, Varun Chakraborty also put the match completely in India’s bag by taking two wickets in a single over.
The entire Pakistan team was reduced to 114 runs in front of the Indian bowlers. With this victory, India not only took lead in its group but also made the path to reach Super-8 easier. Now Team India’s next match will be played against Netherlands on 18th February at Narendra Modi Stadium.
