India has defeated UAE by 9 wickets. This is the second time in T20 Asia Cup history when Team India won by 9 wickets in the T20 Asia Cup. In this match, the UAE team was reduced to just 57 runs while playing first, in response to which Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma finished the match in just 27 balls. Kuldeep Yadav took the most 4 wickets for Team India. At the same time, in batting, Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill ensured India’s victory by stormy batting.
This is the biggest win of T20 Asia Cup. The Indian team has already won this tournament by 9 wickets, when in 2016 it defeated UAE by 9 wickets. In that match, Team India scored a target of 82 runs in 61 balls. Now the Indian team has achieved the target of 58 runs by losing just one wicket in just 27 balls.
First bowler shone
The UAE team had earlier invited batting. The team started well when captain Muhammad Wasim and Alishan Sharafu took the team’s score to 26 runs. After that the Indian bowlers wreaked havoc that all the 10 wickets of the UAE fell within the next 31 runs. As a result, the team was able to score only 57 runs. Kuldeep Yadav took 4 wickets, while Shivam Dubey tied Saman with three wickets. Akshar Patel, Jaspreet Bumrah and Varun Chakraborty took one wicket each.
Match ends in just 27 balls
When the Indian team came out to chase a small target of 58 runs, Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill gave Team India a stormy start. Abhishek scored 30 runs in 16 balls, while Gill returned unbeaten after scoring 20 runs in 9 balls. Captain Suryakumar Yadav played only 2 balls, but he also looted the gathering by hitting a strong six. On the basis of this stormy batting, Team India finished the match in just 27 balls.
