India-Afghanistan won, Pakistan-South Africa lost; Know the latest status of the points table of Under-19 World Cup

The outline for the next phase of Under-19 World Cup 2026 has started being prepared. India, England and Afghanistan have so far maintained their dominance over other teams. The Under-19 World Cup started on 15 January and its final will be played on 6 February. On January 18, Afghanistan’s Under-19 team defeated West Indies badly by 138 runs.

All teams have played at least one match in the World Cup. Pakistan, Bangladesh and even South African team have not been able to open a winning account till now. Whereas India, England and Afghanistan have won both their matches so far. These three teams are sitting at the top of their respective groups. Know here what is the status of the points table of the four groups of the World Cup.

India on top in Group B

The Indian team has won both its matches in Group B and is on top with 4 points. New Zealand is in second place and USA is in third place. Both these teams have one point each. Whereas Bangladesh has lost the only match so far.

Group A points table

In Group A, Sri Lanka and Australia won their first matches by big margins. Currently Sri Lanka is at first place and Australia is at second place. Ireland and Japan are ranked third and fourth respectively.

Pakistan’s bad condition in Group C

Pakistan is at the bottom in Group C, it lost to England by 37 runs. England is on top in this group, which has 4 points and has won both its matches so far. Scotland and Zimbabwe have one point each.

3. Zimbabwe – 1 point
4. Pakistan – 0 points

Afghanistan shines in Group D

Afghanistan team is shining in Group D, which has won both its matches so far. It has 4 points and second placed West Indies has 2 points. The teams of South Africa and Tanzania have not yet been able to open their account of points from Group D.
