Due to this, Turkish apples have almost disappeared from the local market. In place of Türkiye, now India’s businessmen are buying apples from other places like Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Iran. Turkish apples usually have a turnover of Rs 1,000-2,000 crore in a season. Traders say that this step is our message of solidarity with the country’s army and the Government of India.
People of Pune are also openly giving together
The apple merchant Suyog Jende of the Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) in Pune has reduced the demand for Turkish apple in recent times. Talking to news agency ANI, he said, “We have decided to stop buying apples from Turkey and instead they prefer to buy apples from Himachal, Uttarakhand, Iran and other areas.” This decision is in line with our duties of patriotism and support for the nation. People of Pune are also getting a lot of support in this movement of businessmen.

Booking for Türkiye is also getting canceled
In addition, Türkiye was one of the favorite holiday destinations for Indian tourists, but now bookings made for Türkiye are getting canceled one after the other. Travel company Cox and Kings had informed that they have canceled all their bookings for Azerbaijan, Turki and Uzbekistan.
Govind Gaur, CEO and co-founder of Wonderon, had said to stop all the new booking. The Mumbai based travel residence brand go homestage ended its partnership with Turkish Airlines. Whereas in terms of tourism, India was the biggest market for Turki after China.
