Waqf amendment bill: The situation of the central government is getting stronger amid opposition from opposition parties over the Waqf Amendment Bill. Meanwhile, the India coalition, showing solidarity, held a joint meeting to oppose the Waqf (Amendment) Bill in Parliament. Opposition parties are calling the Waqf Bill as anti -Muslim. Union Minister Prahlad Joshi said that the Waqf Amendment Bill has been prepared after extensive deliberations and the purpose of the opposition is only to oppose.

Opposition parties held a meeting in Parliament House, which included Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge and KC Venugopal, Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav, NCP leader Supriya Sule, Kalyan Banerjee of Trinamool Congress and Sanjay Singh of AAP. Apart from this, DMK leaders TR Balu, Tiruchi Siva and Kanimoi, RJD’s Manoj Kumar Jha, CPM’s John Britas, CPI’s Sandosh Kumar P, Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) NK Premchandran and Vaiko were also present in the meeting.

According to the report of news agency ANI, on the meeting of the Waqf Amendment Bill and India Block leaders, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal said, “India alliance and all equal ideologies parties had a clear stand on this. This is a unconstitutional bill. We are going to oppose this bill. We are going to oppose this bill. Request to vote against the bill. “

Will argue unitedly- SP

After the meeting, RJD MP Manoj Kumar Jha said, “How this (Waqf Bill) is non-constitutional, how a strategy is being made to separate the minorities one by one and all these issues will be discussed in Parliament. Their (central government) is to bear the constitution in 90 percent of the constitutions. We had said that we have to take it in times of agricultural laws, do not have to take it.” SP MP Ram Gopal Yadav said, “We will take part in the debate tomorrow and support the amendments from the opposition … we will get voting done.”

BJP does not want to discuss- TMC

On the India alliance meeting, NCP-SCP MP Supriya Sule said, “We will participate in the discussion. Just as we listen to them, we will put our point in front. We will stand with those working according to the constitution. The India alliance discussed well. We will debate together.” TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee said, “We will discuss … We want discussion, but BJP does not want to discuss. We want to participate in voting.”
