India expressed deep concern over the Israeli attack on Tuesday (16 September 2025) in Doha. Also clearly condemned the violation of Qatar’s sovereignty. Arindam Bagchi, a representative of India at the United Nations, said, “India firmly belongs that differences should be resolved peacefully through full interaction and diplomacy through the principles of United Nations Charter and International Law.” He said that India stands strongly in support of peace and stability in the region and terrorism.
In the United Nations, Arindam Bagchi said, “Any kind of tension will have to be avoided and the country’s sovereignty and regional integrity will have to be respected.” We strongly urge restraint and diplomacy to ensure peace and security in the region. We call the international community to remain united in efforts to maintain the rule of law and maintain it. As a close partner, India repeats its solidarity with Qatar and its people. “

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement
Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently interacted with the rich Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani of Qatar. PM Modi wrote on X that India condemns the violation of Qatar’s sovereignty. He wrote on social media that India is in favor of solution with dialogue and diplomacy. Modi said that India stands for peace and stability in the region and will take a tough stand against terrorism.
Israel’s summit of fire campaign
Israel carried out airstrikes by targeting Hamas leadership in Doha. The campaign was named Summit of Fire. During the attack, big explosions occurred in Katara district of Doha and smoke was seen. Qatar called this attack a cowardly attack and warned that this could increase regional tension. The Israeli government said that the campaign was run independently by the Israeli security forces and the security agency.
India’s diplomatic message
India said that the international community should follow the law. All countries should adopt restraint and diplomacy. Terrorism should compete with collective cooperation. India expressed solidarity with Qatar and its people.
