In the second Test being played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, Team India defeated the Caribbean bowlers badly. India declared its first innings on a huge score of 518 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal played a brilliant inning of 175 runs. Whereas captain Shubhman Gill returned unbeaten on 129 runs.

On the first day, Team India had scored 318 runs for two wickets. On the second day, Yashasvi Jaiswal came with the hope of scoring a double century, but he could not stay at the crease for long. Jaiswal missed his second double century. He was out after scoring 175 runs in 258 balls with the help of 22 fours. He ran out and returned to the pavilion.

After this Captain Gill promoted Nitish Reddy. Reddy came at number five and scored runs quickly as expected. He hit 4 fours and two sixes. However, Nitish could not score a half-century. Nitish Reddy was out after scoring 43 runs in 54 balls. He was dismissed by Jomel Warrican.

West Indies bowlers were badly beaten. Jaden Seals gave 88 runs in 22 overs. He did not get any wicket. Anderson Phillip gave 71 runs in 17 overs. He also did not get any wicket. Justin Greaves also remained empty handed after giving 58 runs. Khary Pierre gave away 120 runs. Captain Roshton Chase got one wicket, but he also gave 83 runs.
