‘India has full right to reply’, S on Delhi blast. Jaishankar gave strict warning to terrorists from Moscow


After the Delhi blasts, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that India has the right to protect its people against terrorism. Speaking at the SCO meeting in Moscow, the External Affairs Minister said, “We should never forget that the SCO was established to deal with the three evils of terrorism, separatism and extremism. These threats have become more serious over the years. It is imperative that the world shows zero tolerance towards terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.”

India has every right to respond: Jaishankar

Foreign Minister Jaishankar bluntly said that India will respond strongly by continuing its action against terrorism. He advocated changes in the functioning of SCO. Referring to terrorism, he said, “There can be no justification, no condonation and no cover-up. As India has shown, we have the right to defend our people against terrorism and we will exercise it.”

‘There should be a change in the functioning of SCO’

He said, “India believes that the SCO should adapt to the changing global scenario, develop a comprehensive agenda and improve its functioning. We will make a positive and full contribution to these objectives.” External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar reached Moscow on Monday (17 November 2025) to participate in the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

Addressing the SCO leaders, External Affairs Minister Jaishankar reiterated New Delhi’s long-standing call for united action against terrorism without any compromise. He said the fight against this threat should remain a shared priority. S Jaishankar’s statement has come to light after the recent terrorist blast in Delhi.

Bilateral talks with Russian Foreign Minister

As soon as he reached Moscow, S Jaishankar met Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. According to the report of Russia’s government news agency TASS, bilateral cooperation as well as regional and global developments related to Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), BRICS, United Nations and G-20 were discussed between the two leaders.
