Before the Chanakya Defense Dialogue to be held in the presence of the country’s top military commanders and strategic experts, General Dwivedi has clearly said that India is ready for a long fight under any circumstances and whether the enemy is Pakistan or its supported terrorists, the army has the ability to give a befitting reply to every threat.

General Dwivedi said that no matter how much Pakistan promotes terrorism secretly behind the scenes, the Indian Army keeps an eye on its every move. He said that there has been a huge decline in terrorism in Kashmir in the last five years and 61% of the killed terrorists were Pakistanis, which proves that the conspiracy to send terror from across the border is continuing. According to him, the situation in Jammu and Kashmir is changing rapidly and today the youth there are seeing a future with India.

General Dwivedi mentioned Operation Sindoor

Referring to Operation Sindoor, he said, “This was just a trailer. If needed, Pakistan will be taught how a responsible country behaves with its neighbour.” He also made it clear that India is not afraid of any kind of nuclear blackmail and whether the war lasts for four months or four years, the Indian Army is ready in any situation.

Referring to the blast at the Red Fort, the Army Chief said that deterrence is working. Even if any blank letter comes from the terrorists, the army will find out where it has come from.

What did General Dwivedi say on India’s relations with China?

On relations with China, he expressed hope that after the reduction in tension in Eastern Ladakh, both the countries are moving towards normalcy. He said that due to increased dialogue between the political leadership, the ground situation has improved rapidly. He said, “When diplomacy and political direction come together, defense diplomacy becomes smart power.”

Said this on Manipur violence

General Dwivedi also gave his reaction on Manipur violence. He said that Manipur is like heaven for him and the situation is becoming normal after the imposition of President’s rule there. He expressed hope that if the communities there resolve their mutual differences, the situation will improve.

Similarly, referring to the 43,000 refugees who came from Myanmar, he said that India is trying to send them back and if any of them is found involved in terrorist activities, strict action will be taken.
