India has exposed Pakistan in an open debate by the United Nations Security Council. India surrounded the Pakistani Army, referring to the 1971 war. According to the ANI report, Indian diplomat Aldos Matthew Punnus said that sexual violence during the struggle is a heinous crime and should be condemned in strict words. People who commit such crimes should be brought into the dock and punished.
India mentioned the 1971 war in the United Nations and said that the Pakistani army made millions of women victims. Matthew Punnus said, “In 1971, the Pakistani Army in the then East Pakistan committed sexual violence against millions of women, it is shameful. This series of Pak Army continues even today.
What did India say about minorities
On behalf of India, Punnus said, “Several cases of harassment have been registered against minority communities. Thousands of weak women and girls were largely kidnapped. There were also reports of forced marriage, sexual violence and forced conversion. The details of all these have also been recorded in the recently released OHCHR reports.
India raised questions on Pakistan’s judiciary
India said that Pakistan’s judiciary gives shelter to criminals. No action is taken against them. Punnus said, ,The judiciary also did not take action regarding these activities of Pakistan. It is ironic that people who carry out these crimes call themselves the god of justice.,
