India Pakistan Ceasefire: After Operation Sindoor, a ceasefire was announced on Saturday to reduce tension in India Pakistan. The first round of talks took place between Pakistan and India’s Military Campaign (DGMO) on Monday (May 12, 2025). Pakistan defense sources have confirmed this, saying that DGMO Major General Kashif Abdullah and his Indian counterpart Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai spoke to each other on the hotline.
In the conversation between DGMO, issues related to continuing this commitment were discussed that both sides would not fire a single bullet. No aggressive and hostile action will be taken against each other. It was also agreed that both sides would consider immediate measures to ensure a decrease in the number of soldiers from boundaries and advance areas. After the announcement of all types of firing in land, air and sea with immediate effect on Saturday, the DGMOs of the two countries spoke on Monday for the first time.
‘Pakistan will no longer push this conflict’
According to the army, it was agreed that both sides i.e. India and Pakistan should consider immediate measures to ensure a decrease in the number of soldiers from borders and advance areas. It discussed the ceasefire on the Line of Control. In this talk, Pakistan has said that now it will not carry forward this conflict. Pakistan has also spoken not to violate the ceasefire. In order to maintain peace and stability on the Line of Control, the DGMO of India-Pakistan was also signed in the year 2021.
‘Pakistani army made a fight of terrorists its fight’
The army held a press briefing on Monday regarding Operation Sindoor. Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai said that till Pahalgam had filled the pot of sin of terrorists, because our exact attacks on terrorists were made crossing Loc and IB. We all feared that Pakistan’s attack will also be from across the border, so we had prepared for air defense. When Pakistan’s Air Force attacked our air field on 9-10 May, they failed in front of this strong air defense grid. The Pakistani Army made its fight to the fight of terrorists.
