Schools reopen in jammu kashmir: Educational institutions in Kashmir Valley and Jammu will reopen again on Tuesday (May 13) after the tension between India and Pakistan is over. Jammu and Kashmir Education Minister Sakina Itu said on Monday (May 12) that schools coming in non-seminal areas will open again on Tuesday, although the government will decide to reopen schools in border areas on Tuesday. School Education Director Kashmir (DSEK) GN Itu announced that all the schools except Gurez, the border districts in the Kashmir Valley and the sub-division of Bandipora, will open on 13 May 2025, except Gurez.
Will have to wait in many districts
However, students from many districts of Jammu region will have to wait longer. The divisional administration of Jammu announced on Monday that on May 13, all educational institutions including private and government schools and colleges will remain closed except medical colleges in Jammu division.
Minister Sakina Ittu said, “In view of the current situation, all schools, colleges and educational institutions (private and government) in Jammu province will remain closed on May 13, except medical colleges. The Divisional Commissioner of Jammu said, the administration has advised students and parents to be updated through official channels for further information.

Sakina Ittu wrote on her X handle, “The Jammu and Kashmir government has issued a helpline number to assist the students.
