According to the Dhaka -based Pakistan High Commission, during the conversation, Foreign Affairs advisor Hussain expressed concern about the current situation and emphasized the importance of restraining on behalf of all the parties. He also emphasized the need to reduce stress.
What did Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry say?
Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said, “During the conversation, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister informed the advisor about the growing regional tension as a result of India’s baseless allegations and unilateral measures, including his arbitrary decision to suspend the provisions of the Indus Water Treaty. The advisory of foreign affairs expressed concern about the current situation and insisted on the importance of restraining the current situation.”
Ishaq Dar was going to visit Bangladesh on 27 April
Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Aamna Baloch went to Dhaka in April. At that time, the date of Ishaq Dar’s visit to Bangladesh was announced. He was scheduled to reach Dhaka on 27 April, but stress between India and Pakistan arose again after the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April. 26 tourists were killed in this attack. Two days after this incident, this tour of Ishaq Dar was canceled.
