India-Pakistan War Situation: The power of the air defense missile system ‘Akash’ has once again come out. On Friday, the stock market saw a tremendous jump in the shares of Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) and Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL).
The reason for this is that the Indian Army failed the alleged attacks made by Pakistan on 15 Indian cities with these Made in India Defense System. After this information came out, the shares of these companies climbed, while the BSE Sensex closed down about 850 points on the same day.
BDL and BEL shares have a tremendous boom
Boom was seen in the shares of companies associated with the defense sector after this news. The shares of BDL rose by about 9.73 per cent to 1,595 levels. At the same time, BEL shares rose by 4.88 percent and it reached 321.80. These figures show that investors have full faith in the policy of native defense technology and self -reliant India.
What is Akash Air Defense Missile System?
The Akash Air Defense Missile System developed by India Electronics Limited (BEL) is a medium -distance surface -to -air platform. Its fire range is between 80 and 120 kilometers. This system can track and engage several air goals simultaneously. This includes advanced technology such as real-time multi-sensor data processing, Threat Evolution and Fazed Era radar.
This system is completely flexible and scalable, which can work in independent and group mode. Its cross-country mobility makes it to be deployed in any geographical area.
BDL’s Akash Weapon System
Akash Weapon System (AWS), built by India Dynamics Limited (BDL), is a short range-to-air missile system, which ranks from 4.5 to 25 km. This system is designed for the protection of particularly sensitive areas and important bases.
The AWS has inbuilt features such as electronic counter-counter Majors (ECCM), so that it can also compete with enemy electronic attacks. It is completely based on mobile platforms, allowing it to move and deploy it rapidly in the battlefield. The specialty of this is that it can do multi target engagement.
World’s eye on ‘Made in India’ defense technology
The ‘Akash’ air defense system has been deployed in the Indian Army since the 2010s, but its utility and capacity have been proved again in response to the recent attacks.
