IAF Fighter Jet: The 3.5 km long airstrip of the Ganga Expressway of Shahjahanpur in UP today (2 May 2025) resonated with the thunder of the fight jets of the Indian Air Force. Fighter jets like Rafael, Miraj-20,000 and Jaguar were seen flying in the sky of the expressway. The Air Force will do historical practice of night landing from 7 pm to 10 pm on this airstrip. This exercise is the first night military air show of its kind in the country, which will be done on an expressway. In this way, the Ganga Expressway has now become the backbone of national security, not only roads.
The Indian Air Force practice includes three major fighter jets. It has Rafael, Mirage-20000 and Jaguar. These aircraft are demonstrating night vision guided landing with touch and go landing on the Ganges Expressway. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is present on this occasion.

Indian Air Force took the airstrip by its authority
According to officials, fighter aircraft will also be able to rehearsed here. From the security point of view, about 250 CCTV cameras have been installed on both sides of the airstrip. He said that in view of the air show, the Indian Air Force has taken the airstrip under its jurisdiction. According to the information received from the district administration, the air show will be organized both day and night, so that the ability to land aircraft at night can also be tested at the airstrip.
Fighter aircraft came from Air Force Station in Bareilly
During the show, fighter aircraft will fly at a height of one meter on the airstrip as a test and then these aircraft will land on the airstrip and then fly. According to him, practice will be done here again from 7 pm to 10 pm and all the fighters will come from the Air Force Station in Bareilly. During this, Finance Minister Suresh Khanna, Minister of State for Cooperation JPS Rathore and public representatives and Air Force officers and employees are present.
