India slammed Pakistan in the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) for serious violations of child rights and cross-border terrorism. Speaking at the 80th UNGA session, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey defended India’s anti-terrorism action under Operation Sindoor, calling it legitimate and necessary for the safety of civilians, especially children.
Dubey, who was part of the parliamentary delegation to the United Nations led by MP PP Chaudhary, said that Pakistan remains the most serious violator of the Child and Armed Conflict (CAAC) agenda. Citing the 2025 report of the UN Secretary General on CAAC, he highlighted Pakistan’s role in cross-border terrorism, shelling and air strikes, which have led to the killing and maiming of Afghan children.
‘Pakistan is responsible for the killing and maiming of Afghan children’
“Beyond its borders, the same report details Pakistan’s attacks on health workers in schools, especially girls’ schools, and incidents along the Afghanistan border, where Pakistani shelling and airstrikes were directly responsible for the killing and maiming of Afghan children,” the BJP MP said.

Told a balanced response to Operation Sindoor
Nishikant Dubey said that during Operation Sindoor, India attacked 9 terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and killed many terrorists. He said, “In a balanced response, India exercised its legitimate right to protect its people against terrorism and bring its organizers and perpetrators to justice by carrying out surgical strikes under Operation Sindoor in May 2025. In contrast, Pakistan deliberately targeted our border villages, resulting in the loss of many civilians, including children.”
Dubey said that it is extremely hypocritical for Pakistan to speak on international forums after indulging in such acts. Dubey said, “Pakistan should look at itself in the mirror, stop preaching on this platform. Stop targeting women and children within its borders.”
