Due to the loss of the second test, the Indian team has suffered a huge loss in the points table of the World Test Championship. Team India has now come below Pakistan in the points table. Pakistan has now come to fourth place, while India has come to fifth place. In Guwahati, the Indian team had got a huge target of 549 runs, but in reply, India’s second innings was limited to only 140 runs.
Earlier in the Kolkata Test also, South Africa had defeated Team India by 30 runs. Now under the captaincy of Rishabh Pant, the Indian team has suffered a big defeat of 408 runs in Guwahati. After 25 years, South Africa has given a clean sweep to India in the Test series at its home.
India’s loss in WTC points table
Before the South Africa Test series, Team India was at fourth position, but after losing the series by 0-2, it has come down to fifth position. India’s points percentage is now 48.15. South Africa won in India after 25 years
South Africa has won a Test series in India after 25 years. The last time South Africa defeated India 2-0 in a Test series was in the year 2000.
